USITT 2012 Merit Award USITT 2012 Merit Award Designed in association with Handel Architects, the Santa Barbara Bowl, 4,500-seat outdoor amphitheater project in Santa Barbara, California, was recently awarded an Architecture Merit Award from the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT). USITT is a membership organization dedicated to the performing arts and entertainment industry and includes over 3,800 professionals throughout the United States, Canada, and 40 other countries.
