Jaffe Holden is excited to share that our very own Madeline Didier, Senior Acoustic Consultant, has been selected to serve as a Sound Concept Advisor on the International WELL Building Institute 2022 WELL Concept Advisory. This community of experts is driving the evolution of health and well-being and propelling the movement for people-first places around the world.

The WELL Building Standard is a vehicle for buildings and organizations to deliver more thoughtful and intentional spaces that enhance human health and well-being. Backed by the latest scientific research, WELL includes strategies that aim to advance health by setting performance standards for design interventions, operational protocols, and policies and a commitment to fostering a culture of health and well-being. There are ten concepts in WELL v2, including Sound.

The WELL Sound Concept promotes reduction of harmful or distracting noise through interior and exterior building elements, surface finish treatments, and enhanced noise control. It aims to bolster occupant health and well-being through the identification and mitigation of acoustical comfort parameters that shape occupant experiences in the built environment. The WELL Sound concept aims to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to addressing the concerns of acoustical comfort through research-based design considerations that buildings can accommodate for the purposes of improving occupant health and well-being.

Jaffe Holden is proud to be involved with an organization that values health and well-being in the built environment, and of Madeline’s achievements as a WELL Accredited Professional and WELL Sound Concept Advisor.
