Matthew Nichols Promoted to Principal, Acoustics

Jaffe Holden is pleased to announce the promotion of Matthew Nichols to Principal, Acoustics. Matt has more than 16 years of acoustics industry experience and has been with Jaffe Holden since 2010, serving as Associate Principal, Acoustics and project manager. He has led the acoustic design for many notable projects with our firm, including the recently completed Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, the University of Colorado’s Ent Center for the Arts, and the soon-to-be-completed Prior Performing Arts Center at the College of the Holy Cross.

In his new role as Principal, Acoustics, Matt will oversee all aspects of business development and marketing for Jaffe Holden, engaging in firm pursuits across both the acoustics and audio/video disciplines while continuing to serve as lead acoustician and project manager for select clients.

Mark Holden will continue as CEO and chief design principal, along with Russ Cooper and Mark Reber who will carry on serving as principals while mentoring the next generation of Jaffe Holden leadership. In addition to Matt’s new role, Steven Schlaseman has been promoted to Associate Principal, Acoustics, and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the acoustics department while also serving as project manager.

Our team has been developing this leadership plan for several years to ensure a vibrant future for the firm, while continuing to provide the high level of client experience and innovative thinking for which Jaffe Holden has come to be known in the industry. This new generation of leadership positions Jaffe Holden to build upon the success of its more than 50-year history and implement a strong succession plan for the coming years.
