Both Russ and Steve were selected to give formal presentations to fellow acousticians. Russ presented a statistical look at Jaffe Holden’s long history of successful music rehearsal spaces, and Steve presented a case study of sound isolation considerations at glass curtainwalls.
In addition to sharing ideas and discussing trends with fellow acousticians, Russ and Steve attended a concert by the only active Hutchins Violin Octet and performed in the “ASA Jam Session.”

Russ gave a presentation on music rehearsal spaces.

Steve gave a presentation on sound isolation for glass curtainwalls.
The conference concluded with the Society luncheon featuring guest lecturer Christine Darden, one of the preeminent NASA researchers featured in the book Hidden Figures, whose contributions to sonic booms from supersonic flight are still being tested for the future of commercial supersonic aircraft.
